Don't they always? You should have seen the two whopper I got off the courgette plant yesterday (sat) and they were just tiny on wednesday.
Is it left to right: Gherkin, cucumber and courgette? (excuse the ignorance).

The one on the left is an out/indoor cu - normal size on the left. Marshall's Gracius. It's being a pain - supposed to be V prolific - hundreds of flowers but V few fruit. I complained - pollination problem, they suggested. So why have I never had a problem with any of the 13 different types that I've grown over 45 years??

But Simpson's Sweet Success is making up for it. That's the next one along. = Tim

Think we are all the same! I had a round courgette yesterday, that I had overlooked, the size of a childs bowling ball! :o I call this phenomenom, courgette surprise!  as in you lift the leaf,  and oh what a surprise! ;D
