Just got my first allotment and I am putting in some runner beans, dwarf runner and dwarf French beans, I am ok with the runner beans, but don't know how high the dwarf runner and dwarf French beans will get, do they get as high as the runner beans, I am unable to find out this info?
Thanking in anticipation
Bajmoe
Never done dwarf runner but the dwarf french are about 18" although they flop over a bit with the weight of the beans.
Dwarf runners are about the same. A few pea sticks do the trick. :)

hiya, bajmoe, welcome to the site, as others have said,
our dwarfs grow about 18" to 2 feet :)
We do Purple Queen and they get to around 9/10 inches so no support is needed and you get a great crop.
just got 2 new books to help me with my first allotment, and nothing on dwarf runner and dwarf French, within minutes on here i get an answer, i guess i'll be on here more often, thanks for the advice and welcome.

Good luck with your first crops bajmoe. Once you've tasted those first beans, you'll never buy another supermarket one!
We do yellow dwarf french beans every year, and every year they flopped over at ground level.
This year we read the instructions on the seed packet ::)
It says, when they are 15 - 20 cm in height, earth them up. I've done that this year and hopefully, we'll have some better crops.

I didn't know you could earth up dwarf beans - very useful advice. Thanks :)
PS Found this which confirms it

we always mulch ours with old compost :)
We find dwarf Runners (Hestia) get to about 3' and we mulch under dwarf French with the free shredded stuff delivered to the site by the parks and tree surgeons. Might earth them up first though, now I know... the mulch was just to keep the soil off the beans. ::)
