Sorry, but there is a new series of the telly programme starting on Sunday. :-[ :-[

Thought that was what you might have been referring to. :-[ :-[

A stupid caption perhaps - but just came into my head!

Love the programme - the old one.

ok, I'm confused now, are you making asparagus wine? Or are we talking about the TV programme?  ???

Have you  seen the episode when one of them goes down the hill on a bike or in an old bath,  I thought I was watching a repeat but it seems to happen in every episode  :) :)

I'm hoping we are far enough north of you Tim to still be able to get a cut of asparagus at our local farm (don't have enough room to grow our own).

Digressing back to the telly programme, OH bought the videos of series one and two with Blamire, Clegg and Compo.  Sid and Ivy at the caff are an absolute joy.

Having read your thread,Tim decided to go to our local asparagus farm, and bought quite a bit.  Got some sprue free.  Apparently they will be cutting until next weekend.

One of the benefits of living further north ??? the season does last a bit longer :)
