Title: Garlic Spray
Post by: Garden Manager on May 31, 2008, 10:06:41
I keep hearing about how this can be effective at detering slugs and snails from their choice food plants, particularly hostas. However, the 'recipies' seem very complicated. Is there a quick and easy way to make your own garlic spray? Even better can you buy a proprietary spray from anywhere?

Many thanks

boil a couple of garlic bulbs, strain, we mix it, 50/50 with water, hey presto  ;D
I'm sure there's a spray you can buy, can't remember where I've seen it  ???

I use mine for aphids too.  Two cloves with a little water softened in the microwave for a minute.  Top up to between a litre/2 pints, liquidize and strain.
