You know those annoying people that stop you in the street with a survey, you cannot do them as usually you have paid for parking and don't have time.
Well now you can do them on line and at least when they say 'Our survey shows us' you can say 'I done that'.
I always do them to pass a bit of time and have my say. The beauty of these surveys is they pay you and every now and then you get £50 to go out for a cheap meal with the OH, or save them up and then take your lover out for a really good meal.

Some of you will be a bit suspicious. My advice to you is 'don't do it then' Just got my second cheque this morning which prompted me to pass it on.
I do Yougov too, the cheques are very nice. I'm also on a couple of market research panels, one just for paid surveys and one for taking part in interviews, group discussions etc. which pay £50-£70 for a couple of hours work.
Will have look see, cheers ACE.
We had a knock on the door after tea last night and some bird was asking would we mind doing a survey, one word answer was 'NO', being stopped in the street and being asked to do any kind of survey or research gets up my bugle, also do I want Double glazing on the door step or in the street or anything else if I want anything I'll go and get it on my terms, 'Bloody leave me alone' >:( ;)
Tell the god squad you are a satanist lol they actually run!
Tell the double glazing guys in town that you live in a cave and dont need windows or doors.
Tell tele marketers on the phone that you are a consultant and charge 300 quid per hour and to whom do you send you bill for your time.
I have been known when people call saying they are collecting for a childrens charity to call the kids to the door and tell the charity person to 'Take your pick'
Ishard,
When we go over to Leicester sometimes on a Saturday on the train and going under the underpass outside the station there he is one man and his scruffy dog, 'Got any change mate' 'Do I look like a bank' I say and carry on walking ;)
Lol I reply in a russian accent that I cant speak english

Double glazing. Easiest thing is to say you rent and if you have done the above and tell them. They will promptly pass a brick and remove you from the call list.
No answer for the "god squad" usually just say no thanks.
Thanks for those links they are very handy especially for my Mum as she has alhzeimers. :)
Ive told my Mum to not open the doors but shout through the letter box thats shes the maid. So far, so good.
My pleasure. We get NONE. They definately work.
we do you gov, too..up to 32.50 on the second run, bit of a long winded thing but, at least it's a decent sum when you get it ;D

I expect that is because the views of the folks from the sunny south coast are truer and of more value to them than a load of scallywags from the frozen wastelands of the north ;)
;D ;D
Another scallywag from the North on her third cheque, well it all helps to buy a further batch of bread and dripping ;)
Thanks for that ACE, just signed on! ;D
how often do you get sent surveys? i signed up with yougov about three weeks ago but have not had any surveys yet. do you have to wait a while? am i being impatient?
so, how much time do you spend doing this and how much money do you get?
i got a pound just for joining :D
Thanks, Ace- could do with a few extra pounds!
I could do with losing a few ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
;D @ Bean.
Thanks ACE 8)
I got stopped once and market tested a range of ginger ales. Their first question was 'What do you normally drink it with?'. 6 whisky and gingers later...
i signed up to it. got £1 and have got to other people to sign up using my link so when they complete a survey i get more credits.
Look how old this thread is but I just wanted to say that after reading Ace's original post, I joined YouGov and two years later I'm still only on 2850 points, just another 2150 to go before I get my cheque, ROFL!!! ;D ;D
Well thanks a bunch SamLouise. I just signed up to that thinking it was a new thing, and now I realise it's been there for over 2 years so goodness knows what I've just signed up to these days! I just hope I haven't laid myself open to countless spam, etc, etc.
YouGov is okay - no spam because of them as far as I know and I've been doing their surveys for years. I find it takes just under two years to get a £50 cheque. My last cheque was in June 2009 and I am currently on £27.45. I find the surveys come quite erratically - sometimes three in a month and sometimes only one.
Tricia
I couldent be bothered if it takes that long to get a cheque.
I'm the same with yougov, I have a better time with consumer pulse, don't know how they do it but we've had 70.00 in vouchers for homebase and argos so far this year, limited spaces, though..also, someone on her put me on to top cash back, that's not too bad, you just have to spend money to get a little back ;D

Maybe you dont need the money as much as some?

I use Quidco for cashback. Lots of retailers, I can usually find what I want going through Quidco.

Really? That's what you got from that response? If it was about being desperate for the money, one wouldn't try to obtain it by taking surveys that take on average over two years to pay out! ::)

Yes, how the rich live ::) Rosie, can I please borrow a million or two this weekend as my £50 cheque hasn't come through yet and there's some essentials that I need. Thanks ;D
By the way, I did point it out in my first post, but for those who haven't noticed, this thread is over two years old, it's not new!

When ones desperate for money one does whatever one can to get it whenever one can. Youre lucky if youve never been that desperate. Maybe it buys kids shoes or puts money on the leccy card. £50 is £50, not much to you obviously but a lot to some.

I replied to a post made today so Im not sure what your point is.

The last bit wasn't directed at you, I was just letting members know in case they thought it was a new thread is all :)
I agree that money is money, my point is when someone is desperate and needs it as soon as, I'm sure they would tend to try and find a quicker source than something that only pays out after two years or more. I'm sure quite a few of us have been in the situation of needing money quicker than that and for those who haven't, lucky them :)
I shall try not to derail this thread any more as it should stay on topic. I wonder how many other sites are good for this kind of thing. I've followed links from other people re surveys before but never seemed to reap much reward, just a whole lot of spam emails :-\
I realise it's old, but thanks Ace - always something to fill in a dull moment ;D
