All very different. The foliage is as good as I have ever seen, but SO brittle this year - like the Potatoes which the rain broke off.

And some!
Other varieties are still in their infancy!
Ive gone a slight shade of green, what a lovely selection Tim. And a super house too. They all look very healthy, I have noticed they snap much easier this year too.
My Gardener's Delight are very yellow- the leaves, that is.Wondering whether to give them some tomato feed even though they have no flowers yet.I potted them on but that didn't seem to make any difference.
Remind me - where are they? At what stage?
I moved them from my kitchen to my cold greenhouse about a week ago (they were already going yellow when I moved them) and are about 10" high but no flowers yet.
Is 'characteristics' a new variety? ;D ;D ;D ;D
Just been out to water my toms and the new shoots are much greener so maybe the potting up did help after all (just in case you were worrying about them! ;D)
That is a bunch of good looking toms, green and strong.
Always new varieties, Tony!
I have to say that they have never looked so good. SO - when will the blight strike??
And strange - haven't watered for 3 days.
I hope you like tomatoes, Tim :) :) :) How many plants do you have? Do you have any outside as well? And another greenhouse for other plants? I'm very jealous, everything looks sooooo healthy.
The calm before the storm??
60 Toms - because Wife said we never have enough. So there are no Aubs this year & only a few Peppers.
And some outdoors because I just couldn't throw them away!
Is there a help line?-I only sowed a `few` this year-and just looked out the window-still there and no buyers.
Where do we find the space? Larissa was sent to me by a contact in USA after `meeting` her on a cat lovers forum, catalouges are my opium-I just have to grow them.
Life was simple once-avoid Money Maker and all else was OK
I've just done a roll-call. 26 toms (9 - or maybe 10 ??? varieties). All doing well (as of yesterday) :) The cats gave me a passata machine for Christmas :P :P :P :P :P :P :P
You give your cats too much money.
They're worth every penny of their pocket money. :-* :-* :-* :-*
Looking good Tim, here are mine.
I have 6 Pepper plants and 10 tomato plants in a 6x6 greenhouse. All growing really well and Sungolds have set already.

Well you know when they say get the next size up for the greenhouse you want.........I didnt....big mistake!!
why avoid moneymaker?
Only growing plum tomatoes in my two greenhouses. These seem O.K. Quite a few outdoor tomatoes have gone yellow and died. This is not blight - that comes later.
I think they either got too dry in the hot spell earlier or too wet later; any ideas?

I am very impressed with the professional way you go about things I wish I could have learned to be like that with my gardening. How big is your greenhouse looks like its the size of my home ;D Well done you are a Star
Could it be 37 years in the RAF? Or a Market Gardening Father?
30'x12'.
why avoid moneymaker?
It saves time ;D
When i saw the title of this thread reminded me of what i used to do when i only had the one greenhouse and thought it may be of help to others.
I would find out and take note of what Tomato,s grew short leaves, what crop i got and the flavor of the tomato,s. Not so i could cram more in but to improve on the ventilation around the plant.
Alas i must confess i crammed more in.
