Title: jungle conditions
Post by: antipodes on May 29, 2008, 15:30:36
yes I went down the lottie last night and in two weeks it has become a complete jungle!!
Weeds had burst out all over the place! especially the dreaded f*&^(%**&g bindweed
I had to rip out armfuls to find the onions and garlic, and I won't even mention the beetroot.
We have had almost two weeks non stop rain which I guess explains it.

Still the crops have also been growing so can't complain too much.
Is anyone else amazed by how quickly things can grow to gigantic proportions??

We had our first rain for weeks, yesterday.

Today all the weeds under the sun have decided to appear.

On the plus side. Everything we want to grow is looking sooooo much better

Yikes ! I haven't made it up for all the rain for over a week. Today was georgeous all day, then at 5pm (just when I finish work and was planning to go up) it started tipping it down :(

Im having the same problems, just as I start to get on top of the weeding & other jobs it pours down for days at a time & when I do get to go back to my lottie its jungle conditions again  ::)
I had sown alot of my crops just before the torrential rains so have no idea if the seeds will have been washed away or if they are rotting in the boggy ground  ???
