Title: beans not setting

my broad beans are in  flower at moment but dont seem to be setting, the flowers aredying of a bit and going black at the ends.  Is the any reason for this?, i dont suppose the is anything i can do to help is the?

I think a bout of patience is called for here ;)

Have a closer look at the flower and it may be possible to see a little tail forming this is the bean pod.

Mine always look like that at first, but the bean pods soon appear.

Agree with Tee Gee & Robert - two or three weeks ago I was convinced my broad bean flowers were shrivelling up but last weekend I picked a bagful of lovely young beans.

I'm having the same problem, dont know what to expect as this is my fist time growing them.

Flowers smell nice though.
