Do you remember that song?Who sang that? can't remember.
Pouring down and has been since early this morning.Just like a winters day and my plot will be waterlogged.Thank goodness for my raised beds.It was so nice yesterday.Scuse the rant but fed up.I want SUN :)
Can you send some up here, please? We haven't had a drop for weeks, although it'spromised for tomorrow.
My plots need the rain, I am happy with it ;D
Plus, I bought a new strimmer and hedge cutter today, so am a very happy lady. Oh nearly forgot the roast beef and yorkshire pudd that I wouldn't have cooked if the sun had been out .
So rain keep raining please, well for tomorrow at least.
Sinbad
Yes I have no excuse today, definitely my turn to cook dinner this evening :)
My water butts are full again YAYYY :D
I do believe you're thinking of Supertramp.
Wish I knew which forecast to believe! Even the BBC one for the wholeof the UK is different from the BBC one for Yorkshire! >:(

Yes,great song.
the rain always seems to be torrential these days,no gentle showers to water the crops. It actually causes damage.
:-\ I am with you betula... we need some sun!!! Fed up with the wind, cloud and now constant rain!!! Trouble with the rain, once it starts it does not know when to stop!!! We have had our fair share now so its time for the rain to stop here (Warwickshire) and send some to caroline7758!!!

OH NO IT'S NOT RAINING ENOUGH
;D I'll send you some of ours!!! with the greatest of pleasure!!! ;D :D
we finally got some!! it's been drier than a witches t*t for weeks :D
It absolutely threw it down last night this way. But the wind was far worse, wasn't expecting it given that the BBC said "breezy"!!!!! Took one of plastic greenhouses away! And kept me awake most of the night. Apparently its rain now for the next 3 days, which is great for the lottie and my newly planted garden, but lousy for kids because they're on half term! Hey ho, looking ok for Thursday so can go and see if my newly sown carrot seed has actually germinated this time (3rd time lucky). If not I'm growing them at home first then planting the seedlings out - I've run out of ideas now! ::)
yes our plastic grenhouse blew over today. The 6 trays of leeks inside were recoverable, but the celeriac they fell onto probably aren't. Solved a problem. I was struggling to find a home for them anyway
We were very glad of the rain here in Enfield but could do without those strong winds. These Alchemilla cuttings are certainly looking happy. :) G x

Taking Alchemillia cuttings is a one-off job - one year in the ground and you will have more seedlings than you can shake a stick at.
Took so long to wipe them out I vowed never to grow it again!

Had no rain for ages, but we are being threatened with some heavy stuff overnight.

Heavy rain again,my plot under water again........................... :(
3 days of rain/drizzle, only recieved 20 mm of rain!! :(
Not raining here but very overcast. Looks like it will rain later.
Rain has set in here on the South Coast this afternoon and the winds have gone from a F2 to a F5 S-SW so it is heading inland.
Who copped the thunder last night 8).
Cheers
Tony
Downpour here again late last night and showers on and off all day. ??? ;D ;D ;D
Chucking it down all day, no respite - I'm all for well watered plants but I don't think they're thirsty anymore! :(
I took this week off as holiday so I could have a really good week up the allotment - not a good choice! Have only managed a few hours all told. In desperation I went up and pottered today in the rain with huge raincoat and wellies. I was the only one up there - I wonder why?!! Forecast for the rest of the week not very promising either.

Well when you are so wet you think you might be shrinking ... hot coffee and cake is only just round the corner ;) ... call me! ;D
slept through the terrific thunder, much to the amazement of many! OH said I was snoring so loud I drowned it out....me a laydeee snoring??? I think not!
Was going up the plot this afternoon, but decided to start on the ark instead. So far have 2 teenagers and a pair of goldfish to go in.
Hoping tomorrow will be a bit brighter so I can go and clear that bed of couch grass out, should come out easily with all this precipitation we have had! ;D
Son-in-law couldn't believe I slept through the thunder storm. According to young Lorna next door it woke her up, she said it didn't last long.
Flaming June................??? >:(
