I have some white Icicle from Lidl and have had better germination from them than any other radishes.  Hope they taste good!  The marigolds from Lidl were also great - germinated within about two days.
I hope to get more seeds from them next year.  This year the seeds all went very quickly.

Yep - I am growing them in a large pot and as you say - they are lovely. I've already bought another packet ready for next year. I find they are much more convenient than the round ones and there is more radish for the same amount of space.

Yup, I grow them also.  A winner for this family.

All my seeds are the cheap varieties from lidl aldi wilkies netto and our local cheap shop. Unless I can get the seeds from source. Never pay more than 39p for a packet.

They have always provided me (and others because I get too many to use) with lots of excellent results and a complete variety for the whole year.

Allotment is now totally full and I am shouting at the winter onions to hurry up so that I can re-use the bed.

Seeds are certainly one thing where you do not get 'what you pay for'.

Knowing what you are doing is much more important.

I love my big radishes from lidl. LAst year I forgot to pick up any seed and the inly place I could find them was Suttons - who were not as reasonably priced!
A friend bought a pack of purple german winter radish for me sso I'm hoping they are as good, although I have stacked up on the ostergruss rosa from lidl this year!

Yum Yum :)
