Title: squirrels and jeyes fluid

hello all!apparently our squirrels have been digging up peoples peas and beans,someone advised me to put jeyes fluid down,as they dont like the smell...i went and duly gought some,but am now wondering if its too strong or toxic for the plants...anyone know ?and if it is indeed ok to use,should i spary it over the beans,or in the surrounding area? any advice greatly recieved,as usual x

Don't put it on the plants use it as a soil drench you will still get the smell in the required location.

From memory I think the quantity/mix is on the tin.

When looking up the instructions on the tin check if there is a mix for applying directly onto plants if so this could be an alternative method.

I had some trouble with rabbits, a golfing mate told me that the greenkeeper places a jeyes soaked rope around any area he wants to protect. I tried one around a flower bed that the rabbits had taken a fancy to and it worked.

Now we have a problem! as I am the old geezer on the allotments, you cannot really take my advice. ;)

gawrc,me too!!!! i bought the ready mixed spray,whats a soil drench.aargghhhh its so exciting having our first year,wanna learn as much as i can,obviously,but scared of doing wrong thing!

Just as it says drench the soil with a liquid!

In this case a jeyes fluid mixture.

Fill a watering can with the said mix and soak the soil (not the plants)

sorry to be a nuisance,but the beans and peas havnt come up yet,so is it ok to spray my ready mixed jeyes aroung where i reckon they are?
