Tonight according to the weather on 10pm news, frost across the country.
Yes ,all fleeced up :)
Just planted out some tomatoes yesterday up at the allotment :(
no frost at the plot last night so far as I can tell, and tonight's forecast similar. Got a good guide for frost - the eco-warriors along from me planted all their squash plants out yesterday
The BBC are more optimistic for London than are Metcheck - they give a 6degC minimum whereas Metcheck give 3degC.
I just won't put out any tomatoes or squash before 2nd May bank hol. Been caught out too many times! :(
Well my spuds will have to look after themselves, I am knackered and won't be going back to the plot tonight.
So far I've only got four tomatoes in up at the plot and I've got spares so I'll fleece the twenty odd I've got in pots outside at home and keep fingers crossed for the others.
it wasnt too bad here last night, all my stuff looked ok this morn, fingers crossed it lasts,my beans arent up yet,and my cabbage has leather backed fake fur (!)collars on,the rest is garlic, spuds, onions, all well established,so im assuming/hoping they will all be ok? either way its our first year so will learn from our mistakes if we get there tmrw and its all dead! R x
No frost in the garden - won't be able to check the lottie until tonight.
