Title: Chard / spinach / spinach beet
Post by: beckydore on May 16, 2008, 21:42:13
I think my tray of these are nearly ready to go in the ground.
Are they okay to go in with no protection or do I need to cover with netting / slug pellets??
Last year most of the things I planted disappeared within days so I don't want to repeat my mistakes.

I would do both. slug pellets to keep the slugs at bay until they are big enough to suffer some leaf loss and netting to stop anything else that might fancy a nibble

Nothing seems to be interested in our seedlings - we must have fussy pigeons and snails. They go for everything else, though  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(
