Hi Folks,
OH has made me a bean frame today as per Muntjac on http://www.chat.allotment.org.uk/viewtopic.php?t=2100 (http://www.chat.allotment.org.uk/viewtopic.php?t=2100)
I'll try and post a picture. The idea is for the beans to grow over the top of the frame and the pods to hang down for easy picking underneath.

we were building our bean frame today, I read this thread this morning and have built something similar as it seem like a great idea :)
Will get some pics when the thunderstorm goes away.
We have a bean frame we put up each year. It was my Dad's design and is great! We have a frame of thicker timbers in metposts with bamboo canes fastened along each side. Works a treat and has been up and down for maybe 10 years now! Actually...a little confession...we didn't bother to take it down last winter, decided to just dig out beneath and renew the compost...lazy eh?!! You can't get runner beans here and a Summer without them wouldn't feel like Summer! Think my friends and neighbours actually do really well from our crop! Roll on the start of picking...mmmm!

Here are the pics.

This is Muntjac's original with one row to grow the beans up. However we added a second row as per "Aunt Sally's" and we've sown a row of Peas too. :)

We have also planted some corgettes under the bean frame.
Hope we get lots to pick. ;D

This is the first time I've seen a bean frame like this, its definitely a space saver in raised beds over the wigwam bamboo type structures.
