Title: Evicted!
Post by: GrannieAnnie on May 09, 2008, 12:08:15
We've had an interesting time watching our pineapple birdhouse in the back yard. Black - capped chickadees moved in, busily carryiing in straw to build a nest. A few days later we saw much debris being thrown OUT the door by a wren who had moved into the house, much to our disappointment.  A few days later much debris was being thrown OUT the door again. A black capped chickadee is back!

Umm, maybe not. The tv series, right? With all the servants wiping up after everyone?
Come to think of it, I could use one of them! ;) Or maybe two.
A chickadee is an OOTLBB
(one of those little brown birds)

Similar to our coal tit, though I'm not sure of the size. Tits vary.

nice story GA - i watched with amusement yesterday 2 collar doves slapping each other with their wings and it look liked they were having an argument - one would slap the other a couple of times, the other moved away, got chased, slapped back and the first slapper moved away, second slapper went up to the other and slapped again etc etc it was hilarious if not a tad noisy - don't know if this was part of the mating procedure  :o but I love watching the birds
