I grew mine in window boxes last year very successfully, they were Tumbler Toms and didn't get hid badly by blight. The fruit was slow to ripen with the poor summer. But every one ripened eventually and tasted yummy.

This years window box topic is strawberries ;D

:) No never grown tomatoes in a window box, but think its a great idea!! Oh and the lovely smell that growing tomatoes release when you go near them will be delicious wafting thorough a open window when the breeze is blowing in the right direction.... Hope they do well for you!

Good idea, though I think the pong would put me off if I wanted to open the window. It's not to everyone's taste!

Not done it before, but I have bought a trough to go on the back wall and I also have 2 hanging baskets that I plan to use for tumbling toms and minibel.  Nowhere near windows so hopefully smell wont be an issue!

It's a shed window, keeps them out of way of slugs and snails, and easy picking height on way to greenhouse!
