Title: My 50th today

 :o  Having told everyone id be at work and not celebrating my big birthday until the end of the month;I had a very exciting day at home with an unexpected day off work. So i bought some lovely food : made coronation chicken, seafood paella  and salad etc. Then i called some family and friends and they all came over throughout the day and evening. It has been so wonderful and i had several glasses of bubbly and a couple of g&t's, lots of flowers 7 boxes of choccies too. Also visits from my new grandsons: one is a week old and the other 4weeks. The sun shone and I put out all the chairs and tables outside and my sister bought me a new bench for the garden. Just wanted to share my day with folks cos it was such fun and I would normally go down the LOTTY  on a Saturday .Looking forward to going to River Cottage in the summer( a lovely surprise from my children). Bye all.

Congratulations! Sounds like you had a lovely day. My 50th is in July and I have a sneaky feeling that my OH has booked tickets for Hampton Court flower show! It's meant to be a secret but I'm really glad I saw his credit card bill, cos I can enjoy looking forward to it now!

It sounds like you had a gorgeous day.......and River Cottage in the summer, how wonderful. We need to see pics though after you're back ;D ;D

I'm so glad to hear that you had such a fab birthday and didn't have to work – what a lovely surprise! I meant to leave your b-day card on your gate but had an attack of paranoia that it would go awol ::) have a lovely week and I hope to catch up next weekend and hear all about it ;D
