I have half a dozen beefsteak tomatoes which are five inches high, are these ready to put into grow bags in a plastic lean-to outside :)

Yes mine are out in the plastic ghouses in my back garden and I live about 300 yards from your plot.  ;)

Did you see the new black cherry tomato plants on sale on Tuesday? These are 'new' for 2008.
I bought a couple to see how they go and at 40p each they arent bad.

I would have said it was a bit early to pot them into growbags.  We wait until they start flowering, and don't start feeding until the first truss has set.

When mine are that high, I repot them, burying them up to the first pair of true leaves. The buried stem roots, producing a strong plant that's ready to go into its final position by the end of the month.

No I dont think so but I recognised your plot from your pics as I am LE13 too.

My plot is Lake Terrace, yours I think is the Crescent.  :)
