Hi all hope all is well with yourselves, well i have just taken on an allotment after my mates success and i think i have my work cut out.
Its gonna need a lot of effort for this year which suits me fine as money is short and i'll have quite a bit of time.
Will post some pics and any suggestions/ideas etc will be most welcome.
I'm out towards the east coast so hopefully it won't rain to much this summer.
Plan to do mixture of fruit and veg with the possibility of some flowers later, hopefully in a couple of years will be a nice hideaway from the workday. :o
hiya, teldeman, nice to meet you..hope you get loads of fruit and veg ;D
Hi Teldeman,welcome to A4A.
Welcome Teldeman, look forward to the piccies. Whereabouts is this wonderful oasis??
;D
Hi there, welcome aboard, don't forget to go down to your allotment between visits here. ;D
Hi
Welcome to the madhouse! You will of course end up with more of an addiction to this site than to seed collecting!!!! ;D
welcome to the A4A asylum! we are near the east coast , almost 7 minutes east of greenwich
Thanks everyone for the welcome, yes i have the bug and am enjoying meeting and chatting with my fellow allotmenteers. I have added a couple of pics of what it looked like when i started. Can only get down for a couple of hours every other day but i am getting somewhere. First problem i have encountered are some fruit bushes and a tree where i don't want them and a pond i don't know what to do with.
My plot is just outside the village of Preston near the city of Hull, far enough away to be quiet and on my way home from work.
Happy digging.
Hi Tel and welcome to the nut house. :P ;D ;D ;D
Welcome to the board. It's sometimes easier to design site around existing features, and the pond?, a haven for wildlife, drinking station, frogs to eat slugs...... Good Luck!! ;)
Welcome from a fellow northerner!
