Tin can be a little noisy in the rain(I once had a tin roof right outside my bedroom window), but it's effective, longlasting, and you get used to the racket.

Just an idea, I've not tried it but if the noise becomes unbearable could you not look to putting turf on it.It works in the trendy newbuilds, that and sedum.

If you do that don't use tin. It'll rust eventually, especially if it's damp all the time.

I have felt at the moment but i want to replace it with corigated tin and plastic to allow more light into my shed. My next shed probably not on this plot will be a staw bail construction with the plastic and tin construction.

Got to be tin, felt is forever being torn off by the wind.

If you are using the correct felt, and have fixed it properly it shouldn't do.

You may have troubles if you are using  the grade they label as hutch, or shed felt. Its paper thin, and will crack if you try to fix it in cold weather.

Ive got a felt roof, and after hammering 2kgs worth of nails into it wind aint no issue!  ;D

I'd go for felt everytime though - tin would be like an oven in the summer and fridge in the winter  :-[

Also I recon in a good breeze a tin roof would blow of all together, rather then just get damaged like felt?  >:(
