The only peas I have managed to get started are in a polytunnel! I was wondering if I would now have to open this to let some insects in? Or should I take off the poly bit and put netting on? They are currently a few inches high, can't see flowers yet though.
I have some carrots and beets in the same tunnel, just coming up as seedlings - can they also be uncovered now?
Peas self-pollinate, so they're OK. Carrots and beet don't need pollination as we don't eat the seeds.

They might actually, we have had the most torrential downpours here this afternoon, it is really p***ing down!!! I can't even say it's good for the garden because since all I have in just yet is the spuds and onions it will probably rot them! Hope just that all the manure I have buried under the beds will soak it up ;D
