You have to look closely. These two were warming themselves quietly today.

we were clearing behind the g/h yesterday when oh came across a beautiful
frog,as we live in a mid terrace I carried it through the house to where the pond is1 I had to laugh at the thought that it might have been cursing me cuz it had taken it 2 weeks to get where it was ;D we now have a TIDY back yard
so it wouldn,t have liked it there anyway
marg
Somebody told me once that mature frogs won't stay unless they were born in the pond.
Don't know if that is fact or fiction. I hope yours is happy with his new digs.
I used to let frogs go iin the pond in the garden when i was a kid, and it wasn't long before we had a frog population.
That would seem reasonable. Unless they're driven beasties like salmon ::)
All my frogs moved in - I didn't put any frogspawn from anywhere else in - and with the virus/fungus that is decimating amphibian populations worldwide, it is recommended that you do not import frog spawn anyway. I have loads of frogs and frog spawn in my pond - and they seem to stay.
one of my helpers giving me an excuse not to weed ;D
you have to look closely :)
I was dreading it would be a snake!
no, thank goodness, he sat there while I hoed the bed, mixed the chicken pellets in, dug holes and planted sweetcorn, he only moved when I watered them, ;D

Sounds like
you have the buddy. Now if you could teach him to weed...
just wish he'd eat more slugs ;D
