Title: Potato Rotation
Post by: Ozric on April 25, 2008, 18:20:59
I am only half way through my plot so I ain't got much land to grow veg at the moment. I think I might have planted my spuds where they were last year, D'oh.
Do you think they will they be ok? Or will they deffinately get a disease?

If there was no disease there the last time you may get away with it

OZ
Yes stick them in, BUT DONT DO IT AGAIN, it is advisable not to grow crops where you had them last year to prevent a build up of pests/diseases but the world wont end if you do.

Keep a very close eye on any potato growing between the rows.  If you did get blight last year (and who didn't except the dithane users) then any such volunteers may be carrying it and should be ruthlessly dealt with.
