Title: Plum tree advice?
Post by: posie on April 25, 2008, 12:15:52
I bought my mum two plum trees from Wilko's last week, I can't recall the name of it but it's a dusky purple rather than a reddish one.  Bottom line is she doesn't have room for the two so we were wondering if we found the largest pot possible, would it survive in a pot and would it still fruit?  I don't really want to plant it in the ground at the lottie if I can help it.

Cheers.... :D

I cant imagine putting one in a pot is going to be a problem.

Thanks cam, wasn't sure whether it would restrict its fruiting at all.

depends on the root stock but you'll soon find out if it's going to get big - choose a really big pot though
