Like so many newer varieties, it does outperform the oldies.
God I have lived in France too long - I instantly thought he must be talking about the wine!!
Of course it was the first thread I opened ::) ;D ;D ;D
Gotcher!!
Did Red Arrow last year as a change from Claret, never again very poor compared to Claret...the one I'm growing this year.
Arrow did us no good.
it got me as well, all ready for a wine debate, grape varieties etc ;D
I've finally decided to find room for these and I'm growing late purple and red arrow - wish I'd chosen the claret now :(
Will look out for that one, tim- I need some psb seeds. Do you sow inside or direct?
Rudolph is pretty good as well - I usually grow it with Claret. No pictures sorry as we tend to snaffle it pretty quickly
I'm sure there are many as good as Claret - for different harvest times.
Sowing? I sow most things indoors to ensure that I get something.

Thats WSB on the left - leggy despite full light. And a bit early!!
nice one tim ;D
Another view.
I'd sown in cells and then transplant when larger... Caroline
:)
I said it was good - but this is ridiculous - much over 10" long!
