Just got back, we were lucky we went when we did as we got parking and walked straight in. When we came out they were counting people out and in. Loads of peoples with vans.

We waited no longer to pay then usual but they were warnings telling people that there were delays to pay, after we paid we went to the resteraunt for an early dinner and they were doing the meatball meal for a quid and kids means 21pence and swedish apple cake for 35pence well its a birthday it would be rude not to. The rain was pretty heavy then so we sat with our free refils and watched people loading up cars with far more then they could hold and did our food shopping list.

But we saved a couple of hundred quid so i am a happy bunny and i have not lost any time on the allotment as its so wet and windy.

Dumbo here didn't realise that Ikea were having a sale today.  So took my kids to the new fun pool in Cardiff, which is 20 minutes away from my house and because it's enroute to Ikea it took us over an hour and a half to get there.  So we thought to hell with it, dropped them off and travelled less than a mile in half an hour to see what all the fuss was about.  Somehow I managed to spend £20 on yet more flippin smelly candles! I shouldn't be allowed out on my own I swear  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Well I had no choice in staying away, cos I work there  ;D

Was up at 3.30am and in work at 4.30  :o

Actually it was a really great day, I really enjoyed it, even though it was hard work.

We have been planning it for more than a couple of months now, its been a difficult task and to see it all go so well yesterday was a great achievment.  It was a rewarding day, I felt very proud that all our hard work paid off and everything worked well and we had lots of very happy customers.

Went to the Edmonton branch at 9.30pm last night to avoid the crowds.
It worked - there were no more than, oh, around 10,000 people there. They started giving the 'store closing at midnight' announcements at 11pm, so we made our way to the checkouts which we got through at five minutes to midnight! Still, great hot dogs. Got some lovely big pots though.

Well done to all the staff - they were exceptional. Honeybee, hope you put your feet up today, well deserved.

I was so glad that i had been to ikea the week before and had a look around when it was quiet i felt quite sorry for people looking yesterday as there was just 2 many people.

And as for the hot dogs i like the veggie ones which thankfully they now stock again i beleive they stopped selling them for a while. We did not indulge yesterday as we had a full meal well it was only a quid hehe
