i planted some iceberg lettuce seeds on the 8Th of march in my unheated greenhouse and they have all come up and are now about 8 inches tall Ive re potted some but what i wanted to know was would it be OK to plant the ones that are still in the seed tray (i ran out of pots) in to the ground if i covered them with a cloche all advise welcome
I would harden them off before you plant them out if they have been in the greenhouse. You can sow lettuce outside now so I dont think it would be a problem :)

8 inches tall :o crikey.
I nearly said the same. Too drawn up. Doubt that they will heart up from there. I would sow more soon!
eat the as cut and come again, they should re-sprout , may not heart up but I bet they taste nice ;D
Good thinking!
well i planted them out and i will just have to see what happens with them if they do form hearts i will let you all know if not well i will just quietly feed them to the hens and resow and learn my lesson that i should of waited a bit longer before i planted them so as they say watch this space...........
