I bought one in Aldi for £3.99, It is about 5ft tall. The instructions said to knock off the fruit buds the first year so that the strength went back into the tree.

Yep the newly reallocated plot just north of mine has a ramshackle greenhouse with a peach tree all covered with flowers.

Mine is smothered also.  Had 12 peaches last year, hoping for a bumper crop this year.  Watched a big bumble bee dancing from flower to flower the other morning so hopefully some fruit will set.
