Title: Snow will the cold affect my flowering blueberries and jostaberries
Post by: davholla on April 06, 2008, 09:17:23
Here in the outskirts of London it is snowing and settling.
Will this affect my flowering soft fruit - fortunately nothing else is flowering.

Hi there
The good news is that the snow itself should not damage your blue- and jostaberries..opposite effect actually..the snow will have blanket like effect against the cold  ;D ;D. Those plants are very hardy anyway. But if they get bitten by good frost without any protection...well that is another story.. :-\

Can't say about the blueberries but the Jostas should be fine... never known anything upset them!
