I imagine the answer to this will be 'wait a bit...' but I wanted to check...
We're forcast a bit of sleet/snow over the weekend and I have a load of peas that realllllly need to be going in the ground now... I'm guessing a bit of frost/snow etc will kill them off if I put them in the ground now tho?
The only real danger is if the ground gets too cold and they rot. You could put them in and cover with fleece, but it's too late in the season for the cold to last so you should be OK. Alternatively you could start them off under cover, and plant out later. What's the hurry?
lol cos they're about 8 inches high and sat in my platic greenhouse falling over desparatly wanting to be attached to some supports... ;)
Put them out; they should be OK.
Peas are pretty tough - ideally put them out and cover with a cloche/fleece for a few days to harden them up - this will also stop them getting blown about. Maybe put some some sticks in that they could start to climb too.
