Title: Happy 90th Birthday RAF and Happy 100th to the TA!!
Post by: prink13 on April 02, 2008, 09:52:52
This momentous event seems to have not really been brought to the publics attention, until the couple of fly pasts yesterday.

I'm sure that there will be a few more events happening this weekend, but I just
wanted to add my own personal birthday wishes.

With all of the criticism of our forces fighting in a legal or illegal war, stopping of them wearing their uniforms in some public places and general criticism of their leaders, it's nice to have a moment to celebrate all those who have been in the services over the years, and have given so much

So Happy Birthday to the TA and the RAF

I was on the 10th floor of a building on Regent street yesterday, and got a bird's eye view of the fly-by. It was brilliant.

Amazing, amazing people in our forces.

Agreed -  :)

I missed the fly past up here in Cambridgeshire - we have so many RAF bases around East Anglia, and they were flying over quite alot of them, and I missed the lot!!

Maybe something might happen over weekend for me to support

Just though I'd say, if you're up my neck of the woods.

There is a country and fair show at bodwellyn castle in August. The Red Arrows are on, on the Saturday. Sounds excellent.

Being a patriot and a former Regular and TA soldier I can only say a happy 90th to the RAF and a happy 100th to the TA  :)
