I see there is a white daisy with almost shaggy petals that is supposed to bloom all summer. Has anyone tried them? My shasta daisies bloom such a short time and are lovely but was contemplating a switch.
Haven't heard of those GA, do you know the name of them?
It would be great to have long flowering plants in the garden, shasta daisies are lovely. Pity I dont have room for them.

I just KNEW somebody would ask that and I'd have to wade through a stack of catalogues to find it. Next time I see it I'll post it. There weren't seeds for it, just expensive plants, otherwise I'd have sprung for a packet.
As for room, this year I'm thinking of cramming flowers into the veg. garden in tubs that bushes came in. My new moto: From everything that holdeth soil, shall groweth flowers. Everything that standeth straight shall groweth vines. My husband has been forewarned.
Hmmm...I'm not sure either. Ox-eye daisies flower all summer and so, I think, do Marguerites, but I wouldn't describe either as 'shaggy'. Could it be a type of Echinecea perhaps? There is another daisy-like plant begingning with H too - will try and remember! Meanwhile this is a picture of my Ox-eye dasies - insects love them. :D G x

Ooooo- those Astrantia are so pretty- remind me of wedding cake decoration for some reason. But it isn't that or ox eye. I'll have to find that name.

The frilly daisy is called Fiona Coghill Shasta Daisy- sorry it took me so long to find it. It is supposed to bloom from June well into September. Anybody know this one?
