Its not my allotment (found the pic on the net) but kind of sums up how allotments should look.
I made this one a few years ago for my forum and charged member cost plus £1 which went to charity and made £57 for cancer research...

Anyway what do you do when bored?
read a book,magazine, do puzzles, ;D
mind you, winter drives me mad :)
spend hours on here ;D
They are brilliant Mick.
If I am bored, not very often I will either phone a friend or read.A lot of my books are old friends from childhood, teens.Gardening books or the dreaded revision for my exam in June. ;D
I save all my newspaper shredding for when there is nothing much to do. I also make my plant labels from milk cartons.
If I'm not shredding or labeling I'm online reading and learning what I need to do next in the garden/lottie ;D
Lauren :)
what exam you studying for Betula?
Boredom what is that?
I have a music exam to study for, a garden that needs attention, plants that constantly need re-potting, a full time job as a nurse plus additional shifts in a different department, a parrot to keep entertained, plus house work and cooking etc etc,
in spaces in between the above i am on the internet, far more then i should be, i read loads and watch the occasional tv program
boredme very rarely ;D
Debster I am studying the National Certificate in Horticulture level 2.
Take my final exam in June.It is a two year course.Afraid they do not teach you much about veg though.Hope you do well with your music.My husband plays the fiddle,banjo whiste ,Guitar and the bagpipes {Scottish small pipes}
Afraid I dont play anything. :)
well good luck keep studying hard, i finished my nursing degree in January it took me about 18months dont know how i found the time now though
I'm very rarely bored, always got a project or three on the go, but if I don't feel like doing anything in particular I 'listen again' to radio 4. Always something of interest there.
Debster I think if you want something enough you will find the time and well done to you. :)
Whenever I'm bored I get divorced and remarry.
That's one cool design. I'm afraid I'm hardly bored, being a mum I'm on call 24/7.

Good luck with your exams in June Betula. I did an NCH about 18 years ago at Askham Bryan College in York. They didn't do much on veg then either, its amazing how much you can forget if you dont keep your hand in, so to speak.
:-\ Never bored... just do not have time to be bored.... looking after my family, my elderly mother, pets, housework, gardening, computer.... and of course lots of time spent on A4A .. my herbal medicine course, reading, aromatherapy and if I get time sleeping!!!!

Thank you Star.I am studying at Kings Heath Park in Birmingham at the school of Horticulture.A great school in lovely surroundings with good tutors.I will miss it so much when I finish. :)
I missed it very much when I left too, it was like leaving home in a strange way.
If you feel a bit lost when your course is over.....we'll still all be here :D
Yes it is a great site. :)
I don't get bored but when I want to relax and there isn't anything on TV, I play Popword or Multipopword on the computer. It's addictive though, be warned, but it does keep the old brain active! ;D

Your course sounds wonderful Betula. Good luck in your exam
Thank you Biscombe
Don't get bored very often, most days one of the 4 children come in for a chat, but if I really want to relax after finishing the mundane jobs like housework (UGH!!)
I do like listening to the very varied music I have on DVDs or reading and of course visiting A4A :). Come the warmer weather the dusting and hoovering will be forgotten about and I will be in the garden.
hi all
i surf garden sites and look for any bargain holidays, today i have also been watching a herd of deer (well about 8-10) grazing on the hill opposite ;)
I never get bored, as fast as I finish one thing I start another

Debster, try multipopword first because it is easier. Click on the mouse and hold it down on the letters you want to use to make up the word then when this is done, unclick and that word will go into your list and you will be awarded points. The way to get top marks is to find eight letter words as they score 1000 points. Good luck.
