Title: Purple calabash please! :)
Post by: Truffle on March 20, 2008, 16:06:43
Hi all,
I sowed my tomatoes last night and realized that I had lost my saved purple calabash and gardeners delight seeds! Does anyone please have a few spare seed for swaps?
I've got other saved seed, toms including two interesting tomatoes:
-Sun Ray Gold (big, giant, juicy yellow toms)
-Plum fryer (great cooking plum tomato)

Cheers,

Truffle

wow- I never saw faces in truffles before, but now that you mention it...

Yep, its a black truffle- although i like the lion head suggestion!

Truffles are delicious :P the jarred/canned ones will give you a good indication of flavor, oil is better but really you need fresh to experience them fully. The season for truffles grown in England begins around may and lasts through the summer. Also, I've got some spring (whitish truffles from Italy and once also the UK) and Chinese truffles on order- I warn you now, they're a seriously addictive fungus  ;)
