thanks so much loves !  it has really been a rotten year so far but we're now starting to turn the corner.

for those that don't know, i've been decamped down south nursing Mum since the end of October and then we lost her at the end of February.  THEN has to wait an eternity to say goodbye to her yesterday !

I've been promising myself that I'll give up smoking before I was 50, but in recent months didn't actually think that was going to be possible !  But to start my new year (today), I had my last f*g about 9.40pm last night.  Think Mum would be pleased as that's what got her in the end.

Has lots of lovely pressies from close family, nice set of pink gardening tools, apron and journal, gold locket from the t'other half with daffs on the front, engraving on the back and sobworthy piccies inside plus a weekend away to our fave lakeside retreat next weekend for a night to let me breath again.

best pressie of all was from my kid, bless her wee sox, such a lovely child ..... two hot air balloon tickets.  i was due to go on a trip for my 40th but it never happened, and she remembered ..... i love my kid !

So after all the tears of yesterday, today it's happier tears, thanks to the cast of thousands .........................

oh CAM, I'm actually Pisces, although I'm becoming more and more like Aries with each passing year ............ but I do love a list !!!   ;D

Have already begun to sound like my Dad (an ex smoker) moaning at my kid and my partner who both lit up as soon as they got out of ASDA !  "Hey you two, how about some support here ?" ............. I'm working on them !  lmao

not bad old bird.  since 10.40pm (or what it 9.40pm) on the 19/3, i've fallen off the wagon once, well twice in quick succession after the football on saturday.  Didn't particularly enjoy them very much and was quite disappointed in myself for being so arrogant and lazy about keeping on my toes  (does that make sense?).

we went and did a big shop last night where i stacked up on healthy things to nibble.  i still feel very tired most of the time really, but that's a combination of having had too much to do in the past 5 months, to virtually nothing to do now.  Just a change of circumstance which no doubt in time i'll get used to.

started to get the garden sorted out which was a big help and had intended to get up to the lottie today, but heavy rain says that's probably not a good idea. 

we're getting there though !  thanks for asking.
