Title: Hole punched Broad Beans
Post by: Plot69 on March 19, 2008, 14:19:16
On some of the leaves or my broad beans they have perfect semi circular cut outs on the edges. Looks like someone has been all round the edge with a hole punch.

Any ideas?

yes. this is a good description of the pea and bean weevil. if you look inside the curled up tip of a new leaf you will find him. he wont do too much damage but if you want to eradicate him you can use derris dust.

Thank you Sarah, I thought I'd bred a new variety :)

I shall now start the Pea and Bean Weevil eradication process.
