Wonder if anyone can help with this. I've been given a spare louvre window for my new greenhouse but the only place it will fit is in the door as the other panes all are much bigger.
There is already a window in the roof of the greenhouse, so I wonder if its really worth adding another one? If so, is the door end a good/bad/indifferent place to put it?
Def. worthwhile... will help with ventilation how big is the greenhose?

fairly small... 6 x 6 but i have high hopes for it! Thanks for the advice!
I agree totally with saddad.
When the temps begin to rise you really cannot have too much ventilation.
I have just bought a 8 x 6 and have got two roof vents and two louvre windows and will also have the door open and shading.
Gary.
Fit it low in the door if this is the only spot it will fit.
This will help with air circulation when working in conjunction with the roof vent.
remember to look to see if the louvers are open or shut when opening door though or broken glass especialy if its a sliding door.
just a thought.

thanks for all these replies.. lets hope it gets warm enough for me to actually need the ventilation!
Oh It will ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)
I would really be worried about opening the door with the vents open as Alan42 says. Is there any chance you can put it at the opposite end to the door and cut the pane that you remove to fill the gap. New glass cuts relatively easily although old glass can be a pane (- pain - sorry couldn't resist that!).
Forget the louvre in the door, just open the door.
i might well do that!! i think it would be better if i try and find a bigger window.. i'm new to this greenhouse lark you see... minus 1 over night in london at easter.. not much chance of leaving anything open :'(
