Title: gooseberrys and tomatoes

a very long time ago when i was a small thing  my grandad grew tomatoes that tasted like they smelt, i havent tasted tomatoes like that for a very long time, can i grow tomatoes that will taste like i remember? anyone want to recomend a variety?

gooseberrys, well a very long time ago when i was a smallish thing we used to climb over the garage roofs  and take the gooseberrys of this scarys mans bush, they were huge and umm redish maybe pinky purple, they were sweet and lovly, not at all like the sour crisp things i can find, again any ideas of a variety that i can grow

A good Winham's Industry would fit that description... the Tomato??? anyone's guess!  ;D

The way i eat tomato,s is that they smell like tomato,s but taste of salt
