Im off tomorrow to the hozzy again, another bout of walking about in a gown with my @rse hanging out. Not so much walking tomorrow though. I shall hopefully be pushed about on a trolley while I sleep, blissfully unaware of anything going on.
I have to have a nasty growth taken out of the roof of my mouth and a bit of radical dentistry to stop it coming back.
The OH says it is my own fault because of my foul mouth. But she will come and take me home tomorrow evening. So at least I don't have to get the bus home. I have just read the hospital notes and they advise me not to ride a bicycle, or use equipment that needs skill or judgement, so watch out for any inane drivel coming from any of my posts in the next few days.(Yeh, I know, how will we tell)
Food will be liquid as I will not be able to chew, so it will be chicken soup and liquidised rumtopft, I might just skip the chicken soup though.
Wish you a speedy recovery ACE.
Lauren :)
Ouch!. Wish you well.
Ooh.......Be thinking of you, hope you recover from the op soon ;)
Good luck for tomorrow ACE sweetheart.

All the best for tomorrow, Ace - and be nice to all those lovely nurses!!
I presume you are going into the day stay unit, as you will be home tomorrow night - so you will be given a cup of tea, a yogurt and then encouraged to get out of bed!
Keep taking the tablets!!! :)
Hope you dream of your favourite things ;D
cj :)
( I know you dont dream under anaesthetic...I was just being poetic ::))
Oh Ace, I shall be thinking about you, all nice things, and looking forward to you posting again in a day or so.
I don't think sleepy med stops your fingers.
Skip the chicken soup, stay veggie and fruity..
Hurry home, I'll leave the porch light on.
Lots of love,
XX Jeannine
they advise me not to ride a bicycle.....
I wondered before when you were walking round with your bum all exposed, & I'm wondering now....you SURE it's your cake-ole they're doing something to? These doctors have atrocious handwriting....

Well thats that then. All cut out, rasped down and sewn up. Big box of painkillers for when the injections wear off, and a feeling like youve been in the ring with Tyson. But am I glad that horrible thing is out of my mouth. Thanks for your good wishes, I have a lovely big jug of real fruit smoothie. the latest pirates dvd and tucked up on the sofa. It's raining out, so I am in the best place.
I have only just realised, I forgot to put my nicotine patch on this morning. I'm on the weakest anyway so it looks like I might have cracked that problem as well.
Glad all went well, I'm most impressed you've given up smoking as well! Hells bells, I hope you have plenty of other vices to compensate..... ;D
So that's that over and done with. Enjoy the film - preferred the second one myself! :)
And well done on the smoking front too! Keep it up - the non-smoking, that is! ;D
Congratulations on kicking the smoking habit and for still being able to type straight after anaesthetic!
Glad it all went well.
Oh smashing you are home..I have been thinking about you all day, surgery on your mouth is no fun.
Well done on the patch, now please will you chage your ruddy picture!!!
Glad to hear you are well darlin'
XX Jeannine
Pleased to hear it all went well ACE, good luck with knocking off the fags :D
Glad you are back at home all safe and sound, Ace.
I could have got home earlier as I was in theatre at 7.30 this morning and back up in the ward by 10.00. Silly nurse thought I was awake at 11.30, but I closed my eyes again and carried on sleeping on my back, (snoring was commented on) Decided I wanted to go home about 1pm, so they gave me a milky drink to see if I could keep it down, got dressed, Nipped outside when nobody was looking and sent pre-arranged text to OH. Sat by bed all innocent while they whipped out some gadgets that were stuck in my hand. Told them I was telepathic and I had just wished my driver to come as she walked through the door. Grabbed my goody bag of medicines and whizzed out of the door.
""I have only just realised, I forgot to put my nicotine patch on this morning. I'm on the weakest anyway so it looks like I might have cracked that problem as well.""
That is wonderful news ACE - go to the top of the class for determination!
Tricia

Dvd was good but the large jug of real fruit smoothie was a mistake. I am by nature a bit of a salad dodger and my 5 a day is malt, hops, yeast, sugar and water. So the smoothie put a road straight through me, and now I've got 'a bum like cherry'
Get the bicycle clips on, Ace!
Wishing you all the very best,
Your loving arch-enemy,
Val

Ace, you shoulda enjoyed your smoothie with a good curry, now that would have REALLY sorted you! ;D
Glad everything went OK, back to the beer it is then? ;) ;D
Beer = liquid = easy to swallow!!!!!
