I tried my first turnip last night! Funnily enough I do not recollect ever eating one before - it was delicious! Isn't it funny you trundle through life eating the stuff you know about and not venturing (often) off the chosen path. I am discovering so many different veggies now I am 95% vegetarian!
I remember buying pimentos in a can! Currently known as sweet peppers! They just weren't around when I was a kid! - The same cannot be said for turnips - just my mother not feeding us them!
Anyway will be growing my own soon!
