Are you using this site?

http://www.the-gardeners-calendar.co.uk/Moon_Planting.asp (http://www.the-gardeners-calendar.co.uk/Moon_Planting.asp)

I have a look at it from time to time but can't say I've followed it.

Yes using that site and finding it quite easy to follow.

Just hoping to get a good result but do find it hard to follow as instructions some times as cannot follow a recipe without trying to do my own thing !!!

Last time I planted by the moon my neighbour called the police.......don't know if it was my planting, howling or nakedness that bothered her.

Keep meaning to try it, but I'm never organised enough- it's a question of getting it done whenever I've got time!

I have bookmarked the page, I will see how I go with it. Never moon planted before except possibly by accident ;)

Hi Suzanne,
I've noticed several times you mentioning what day it was i.e leaf day, root day etc.
I follow Nick Kollerstrom book very strictly.
I know alot of people make fun of biodynamics  ;), but it is not a new technique, people have been using the moon as their planting guide for centuries.  :)

Here in Spain all the old boys plant by the moon, you buy a certain book stocked in every newsagent! it's funny, all the strimmers go at the same time!! I would like to give it a go but don't you have to be organized and have plenty of free time?!!

We tried it, I think, in 2005. Wasn't quite as strict with the "timings" - I didn't get up at 3am to sow or go down the allotment...

I personally don't think you have to be that strict - I just make sure I follow the days when its best to sow roots, leaf plants etc and avoid the days marked with a big cross as unfavourable to plant anything. I am convinced that the plants are stronger and healthier for it.

I've just got Nick Kollerstrom's book this month & am a couple of chapters in....seems quite intersting.

I don't have an allotment at the mo, but thought I'd try moon planting on a small scale in my garden so see how well it works.
