Faced with grain shortages, someone is suggesting that we grow our own wheat -

The hand milling would put me off, it would probably use more energy than you would get from the flour.

Growing & processing it is not that hard the problem is the space required. Unless you have a very large area you can use for it it's not really worth doing.
