Title: Petita Cucumbers - a question for Tim?
Post by: Barnowl on March 03, 2008, 12:11:41
The article says that Petita are a ridge type and these need pollination by insects, but I'm pretty sure you wrote last year that you grow Petita in a greenhouse. As Petita is the only other variety of cucumber I'm trying this year advice would be welcome  :)

Sorry to butt in but right now I can do buggar all else :'(

Petita to me is an F1 hybrid best suited to growing under cover and giving smaller fruits -well worth growing

I grew them last year and will be doing so again this year in the polytunnel and they performed beautifully!

Didn't have any pollination problems!
