Hi Sarah and thanks for your reply, the Leeks that I used in my Leek Video were my main crop Leeks which I am due to sow this week, I have a couple of raised beds in my garden at home that I use as seed beds and this is where I will be sowing them this week at a depth of 1/2" and thinly in the drill. Then I just leave them to grow until they reach the thickness of a pencil which is usually in June sometime weather permitting and then I transplant them into my raised beds at my allotments as shown in the video, if you happen to sow them too thickly in the seedbed/spare piece of ground that you may have then you can thin them out which will help them reach the pencil thickness stage quicker, regards Steve.
