Hi, thought would remind everyone that it starts again tonight at 8PM.
This is the program details for tonight:
29 Feb - Ready to roll! -1 hour (from 8pm) - info on fruit growing/planting mini orchards
:):):):):)
thanks for the reminder, it must be spring ;) !!
(although on this morning's forecast there was the possibility of snow next week)
Thanks SBG, I will make sure to tune in.
Yeah I heard its going to get much colder next week with snow, also gales forecast tonight :( :(
Its the birds and other critters I feel for :'(
Cripes I had forgotten. will go and watch now. ;D
Feedback ??? No orchard in the planning stage for the forseeable future, did Epicure tats and can recommend them, but where was the forward planning with sowing? :( Know lots of us already have veg seedlings up, I'm sure!
Not much to shout about,....... was it. :(
Not really,I enjoyed the item about the private orchard.I am getting bored with the berryfield system they keep using. :)
I totally glazed over. 60 whole minutes devoted to fruit ::). Did we learn much..? :-X
What about Joe and his new allotment that they will be following? Carole is banished to her own garden for propagation lessons? ???

The only thing i learnt is if you go to the web site(how many times did he say it!!) you will learn more. :(
I wonder how much the BBC (well that's us really) is paying Monty to stay as anchorman. He has looked bored, bored, bored for some time now and I'm not suprised.
I watched too thinking I'd give it one more chance and might learn a fact or two. I ended up shouting at the tele after the farmers market local v global apple tasting session - saying 'yes but you didn't explain why a third of people actually like Gala/Golden Delicious/pappy Pink Fir'.
(My theory gained from running food/wine tasting sessions, for what it's worth, is that many people don't actually like foods/drinks that taste too highly or too distinct. Years of indistinct but year-round available flavours has (re)conditioned many taste buds. So if that's a taste you like, and nothing wrong with that, why should these people buy locally produced, and often more expensive highly flavoured foods? A conumdrum. Sorry on high horse there...)
Must admit I enjoy watching the old Geoff's repeats as find more useful info for all gardening including veggies, and how to use all sorts of this very cheaply made

I'm a Monty fan too, yes it was heavy on the fruit but I think there was lots of other stuff too and the promise of more to come with Carol's garden and Joe's allotment.
I saw that it was scheduled, but I decided to wait till afterward so I can watch it on TV on Demand, and fast forward through the boring bits. ;)

Same here! I enjoyed it though. It was good to get back in the saddle. I've not been out in the garden all winter - been too busy decorating the house. In fact horror of horrors I have'nt even bought any seeds yet! Excellent, a lovely task to look forward to when the kids have gone to bed ;D
ps: Denbee, you are still much missed "elsewhere" :-*
Not by everyone, I'll bet. 8)
