Title: Azalea ID please?
Post by: springbok on February 22, 2008, 17:25:10
Bought this Azalea today as I fell in love with the colour.

Does anybody know which one it is?
Is it a greenhouse plant or can I plant it out in the garden?
Only paid £2 for it on the market, so it didnt come with any info :)

it looks like a so-called "Indian Azalea". They are hybrids for houseplants. Keep it in the house til it's finished flowering, then maybe plant it outside somewhere sheltered and it might survive. It's apparently quite difficult to get them to flower again (indoors0, but I don't think I kept one long enough to find out
