To get a free copy of the magazine you need to:
Call 0845 357 7002, quoting GYOC4 08*

Offer expires March 31, 2008.

You can just request the free magazine or they will offer you a further three copies for £1 total.  You have to set up a direct debit but you can cancel this via e-mail or phone call.

I rang up for a free copy.

Was dissapointed to hear that its a way round to get  subscription.

They asked me if I wanted 3 copies for a £1 and I didnt want to subscribe to another magazine.  I said I would just look at the free one first.  Dont think they like d that, they said goodbye and hung up!!

How rude...No need for rudeness, at all.
You know what? Probably if they HAD sent you a free copy then you might have changed your mind and signed up. But now they won't get your busines and it snowballs from there on, because you tell everyone else, who inturn tell a few more people and so on. Companies are so stupid they lose themself business.

Strange- a lot of us here went for the same offer a few months back and there was no pressure to take out a subscription-just had to cancel the d.d. before the three months.

I had no problems, got the three free copies and then cancelled the direct debit - though I did have to write myself a big note so I didn't forget to cancel in time!

The trouble is Rosy that the next three issues will only have the same things in that the first three did. I did take a subscription once but cancelled it when they failed to deliver. Then when I bought it from the newsagents found that it just keeps repeating itself every few months. It begs the question when there is so much for us to learn why can't they find something new to print.

I did it last time too and forgot to cancel it! The offer is either free for 1 issue or £1 for 3 issues. Last time I wrongly thought it was 1 free issue + 3 issues for £1 pound... :(
