The legs usually change colour as they grow. It is probably going to be their adult colour. Over the next couple of weeks all the others should follow suit.
Without a picture that is the best I can offer I'm afraid.
thank you i will take pic

Do the scales that are white look as though they are lifting a little?

It may be a bit of scaley leg .This is a little mite that gets between the scales, cover legs with vaseline or some other petroleum jelly.this smothers the mite. There is a spray out for it too but usually petroleum jelly will sort them ..
I am presuming they aren't feather legged birds, if they are are you need to dip their legs in surgical spirit making sure they are well soaked ,,Either method done once a week till it clears up .Shouldn't take long ..
Thank you Growmore,I have been away for the weekend,i will try it tomorrow,

Hi all. We rehomed 20 ex battery hens last august.Sadly mildred died after two glorious weeks with the sun on her back. Then cookie a couple of weeks later. So now we are left with eighteen really happy chickens who loves pears and lettuce ,sweetcorn (they like it better with the green leaves still around the cob). And from the first of january this year until today we have had a total of 744 in these few months. And i was very surprised that they dont go off lay either, some of the eggs we get are like dinosaur eggs and others are normal size but all taste beatiful, we had bacon and egg sandwiches for dinner at the allotment this morning.
