I know this is somewhere on a thread but I can't find it, so apologies for asking again.
I have an area 3m x1.5m that I'm thinking has potential for asparagus - gets the sun all day and is free draining. The question is in that space how many crowns would fit? I'm thinking 20?
What varieties would you recommend? I fancy Purple Pacific, Gigliim (sp) and Conovvers
and while I'm posting, here's another question..........
The bed will be raised about 14" (wood frame) I do have a horsetail problem, but not too bad in that area. I'm thinking to dig down about a spit, then layer with cardboard manure and imported soil/compost
All input gratefully received..... :D
No Tom, but that link has useful info about planting and care - so thanks ;D
Bringing this back to the top of the page.
Any answers out there?
I don't really want to dig down a spit and remove the soil - but I will if I have to - BUT do I have to??
I need your expertise - pleeease
