Can you advise pleas, i have a rather large clump of well established
AGAPATHUS, i would like to dig them up when we move in the summer/autumn
would this be ok to do, i do want to loose them.
Your advice would be much appreciated. Thank you . Mary.
Funny things agapanthus. If you know for sure you are moving then I would suggest digging them up once frost danger has passed and putting them in a pot and keeping them going that way until you can replant in a new situation. If that is not possible, then you can actually dig them up at any time (remembering you will lose flowering for a while). Soak the clump thoroughly before doing it and try to remove as little root as possible. If it is a big clump then rather than potting, put it in a sack. Replant as soon as possible.
Thank you very much ERIC, most helpfull.
